LaunchPad

LaunchPad is an application that was built to support an innovation campaign for Charter / Spectrum. This application provided training materials for the campaign and allowed users to submit innovative ideas to be reviewed by a panel. The application supported panel review functionality, allowing users to review, set statuses, make comments, and move finalists to the final review.

Year: 2019

Platform: Web, Mobile Responsive
Roles & Responsibilities: User Research, UX Design, Information Architecture, Styleguide / Design System, Prototyping, Testing, Product Owner

Inception: Daugherty Business Solutions was engaged to build, develop, and deliver the application for Charter / Spectrum from scratch.

Information Architecture: To align with stakeholders on scope of the application, I created a sitemap capturing all pages for the application as well as the permissions of the user types that can view which page.

Design System: To establish the UI components and styles, I created a styleguide based on Google Material to ensure design consistency throughout the application and speed up design and development.

Design & Prototyping: Starting with low-fidelity wireframes, I continued to validate designs with users and conduct usability testing until the final UI for the MVP was established. I created both web and mobile responsive versions.

Final Results:

We delivered a user-friendly, bug-free application. The campaign was successful and 2 winners were picked to begin building out their idea they pitched.
This resulted in my company landing additional work, including helping one of the winners create a proof-of-concept for leveraging big data to provide smart recommendations of new products to users throughout the various products in the Spectrum ecosystem.
